Since 1997 Al Sumo Scientific Bureau has been at the forefront of pharmaceutical marketing and distribution across all 18 governorates of Iraq.
Initially founded under the name Al-Mansour Scientific Bureau, our journey began with representing renowned pharmaceutical manufacturers, including the Syrian Medico Company, Asia Company, and Ibn Hayyan Company.
Our commitment to excellence was evident from the start as we ventured into both the private and public sectors. By 1999, we secured contracts with the Ministry of Health. We were pioneers in participating in the Oil for Food Program, which facilitated the exchange of oil for essential food and medicine. Our factories played a crucial role during this period, significantly contributing to the program's success.
Throughout our history, over 300 awards for creativity and excellence were won by Al Sumo SB, and more than 100 letters of appreciation were received from the Ministry of Health, Iraq.
Apart from our commercial successes, we remain highly committed to social responsibility. We have donated over $3 million worth of medicines to displaced persons' camps within various governorates, particularly at such a difficult time as that of the ISIS invasion. This was much appreciated by many Iraqi politicians and civil society groups alike, showing our contribution to health centers in far-flung districts within more than 12 Iraqi governorates.
